"Axle The Freeway Cat"

Hello Cougars,
Today in class, we started reading " Axle The Freeway Cat," and I am really happy that everyone enjoyed the story. I want to thank you all for your participation in summarizing the book.
I have posted a screen shot of the story board used in class today. Please review it, we are going to have a quiz this Friday. I will also remind you about the quiz in class tomorrow.

Developing Reading Fluency


 Hello Cougars,

Reading is very important because it allows students to expand their vocabulary and overall to develop and improve reading fluency. If you do not have access to a library or books to read, you may use "The International Children's Digital Library" which provides parents and children with free access to electronic versions of popular children's picture books from around the world. There you will find a variety of book selections for different age range and language. I recommend that you encourage your children to read at least one hour per day.
